LaZy DayZ of SuMmer

WE all got together to celebrate Fathers Day. Karri, Mal and I helped my dad clean out his garage and organize some of his camping things. It took us a while, but we all had a good time. While we were off cleaning the kids played on the slip N Slide. I think they had a blast. Brooklynn and Rustin had to have help- but kynlee just ran for it. Little baby Ryler just slept on the couch inside. I went in once to find him laying on the couch like this. It think he looks so cute and just comfortable.

My dad'd dog had puppies. They had such a great time playing outside with them. It was so cute to see all of them playing with the puppies. If they would get away from brook or rustin they would try to get them but were still a little scared of them, but if someone helped them put them in their arms they would just hold them .

Thunderstorms, Rainbows, & Mud Puddles...

I thought the storm was so pretty! I love the clouds in this picture and how there is a little burst of light . After the storm the sky turned this pretty purple and pink. I captured a shot just as it was starting to get dark. It's like 9 o'clock but I thinks it looks beautiful.

After the rain had stopped the sun came out and made this rainbow- I could see both sides of the rainbow just as bright as the above picture. It was trying really hard to get the whole rainbow but it just wouldn't work. I needed to go up by Brent and Tiff's and then maybe it would of fit. But i did take a picture of both sides and maybe I can hook them together some how and make one picture. Tiffany said it was a double rainbow, but I guess I was so busy trying to get the whole rainbow in the picture that I didn't see the other one.

What happens after a big rainstorm?

It makes a huge playground for little boys.....

Rustin had a blast jumping in the puddles. I even had him in his pj's and I could see that he wanted to just jump right in the puddle so I decided that he could go for it. We have more pj's and who knows when he will get the chance again-right!! (Probably tomorrow). Anyway, he had a blast and hopefully it will be a memory that he will remember as he grows up. I remember a time when it rained in the little cold-a-sack, and the roads filled up with water because the drains were plugged. All the neighborhood kids grabbed their bikes and rode around in the water- or just swam and walked. It was a blast and a great childhood memory. I am glad that we live where we live so that Rustin and Ryler will be able to make memories like this.

He was walking through the water and came to a bigger puddle... well, he didn't know that he would sink in the mud. As he was standing there I told him to jump and he couldn't. His little water boots had sunk in the mud and he couldn't move. I walked over there and grabbed his boot as he lifted up his leg to get out. He was so happy and laughing the whole time. I think it is true what they say little boys are made of... snips and snails and puppy dog tails, but I think they forgot the MUD part! A little mud never hurt and it helps build up his little personality- he likes to play in the dirt with tractors (Or MUD whichever) but always likes to get clean and wash up.

My little Project

This was my project for the day. I thought that it would be a fast little project and then I would get to some house cleaning... since Randy took Rustin to the cow sale. Well, I guess I really don't know much about sewing, because it took me longer to understand the directions than it did to put this little bag together. But it was fun and now that I know what all the liners and padding is called it's a cinch! I love this little bag and am proud that I made it. Megan told me to sell them but I am not sure that I am a good enough sewer to do that or not. So let me know what you think. I am also going to try one that is frayed around the edges instead of bound... but am not sure how it will turn out.

5 Years!

It has been five years since I graduated High School....

I think that we had an okay turnout. I thought a few more people would come but we still had a good time catching up with each other. We had a potluck lunch at the park. I think that we had about 48 or so in our class and after 5 years we had 12 that came to our Reunion. Hopefully in 10 we will have double that, but I still had a great time and enjoyed seeing how everyone was doing. It is funny how things change over time... some of us had kids and some didn't but we are all enjoying where we are at in life. Everyone seemed to be happy and it was nice to hear of some of the accomplishments of my classmates.

Planting the garden

We finally had time to till up the garden spot and get it planted. My dad raised our tomatoes, green peppers, broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage, Jalapenos, and green chilies in his green house. We went there and took the day and planted all those. I planted 20 tomatoes, 10-15 jalapenos about 8 of the rest of the peppers, and 4 of each of the cauliflower, broccoli, and cabbage. After that was done we went to the store and bought 1 spaghetti squash, 1 cucumber, and 1 zucchini and 6 strawberry plants. I also planted some carrots onions and peas... After I had everything planted I realized that I had a little more room in my garden so I think that I am going to go and buy us more strawberry plants and make my patch just a little bigger. I am really excited about our garden this year. I have always liked to have one ever since we have been married, but this year Rustin can help me and I think that he is going to love the strawberry plants- he loves strawberries. I might till up our other little garden spot and plant some potatoes- I am not sure. I have never planted potatoes but I think it would be fun and a good learning experience for me.

More Memorial Day...

Finally Memorial Day Pics...

For this Memorial Day weekend some of the family went to yellow pine and camped. We (the Fitzgerald's) only went up one day and Uncle Tom Tom made us some dinner. He made some stew and a cobler for us. It was wonderful . I love this picture of Raina and Ryler. It was so cute because she love to kiss him. How sweet! Kissing cousins...

Summer Swimming

Rustin and Kloee had a blast swimming in Rustin's little swimming pool. Rustin still isn't sure about the whole running through the sprinkler thing, but Kloee had fun. I am sure there will be many more pool days to come!
