Our New little Bundle...

This is our new baby brother.... Ryler Brian Fitzgerald. We are all so excited that he is finally here! He was born on the 21st and weighed 7 lbs. 8 oz. and was 19 3/4 inches long. Everything went well with the delivery. Randy, my Mom, and Mal were all there with me and I am glad that they were. I was only at the hospital for about 2 hours before he decided to grace us with his presense-- so, I didnt have any pain meds...ya know like an epidural... but, they all told me that I did well. If I can be brave with my next one I will do it with out anything again... if i can be brave. I felt so good after the delivery and we came home wednesday night.

Rustin was sure nervous to see me in the bed and with an IV in. I told him that mom was fine and it didn't hurt and then he decided to come sit with me and hold his little brother. Rustin just loves him to death... litterally. He would sit and hold him all day if I let him. He just hugs him and loves him and wants to hold little brothers hand.

He had to check out his little hands.

We all just love our new little guy...

Easter Sunday

Rustin was so cute just laying here... he was playing with baby Kenzi
Grandma had a little easter egg hunt in the house and Kenzi loved to play with the egg. Kloee and Rustin jut love to be around her when she is here.

Our Easter-

Rustin wasn't really thrilled at the Easter Egg Hunt. He didn't want to leave my side. It made it hard for me to get a good picture of him standing at the tape line before the Hunt.

After he figured out what we were doing he was so excited and only went for the real boiled eggs. I would sometimes stop him and show him a piece of candy and of course he was excited to get candy, but maybe the eggs were just easier to find. I think he liked the hunt this year and to get the eggs.

Rustin and Breann Ivie are about the same age and like to play together, when they don't fight over toys of course. She was so cute to show me her Easter basket, but little Rooney was ignoring me (How nice huh). Lately he is becoming better at pretending he can't hear...

Okay, so last year when we saw the Easter bunny all he did was cry... but he was only 1. So this year I heard they got a new bunny and was so excited because I thought this would help him to like the Easter Bunny. All day, and the day before that, we talked about the Easter Bunny and he kept saying "I like the Easter bunny". So I was sure that this year things would be different and he would like the Bunny. Well... I guess I was wrong again! Rustin even said "cheese" through that sad cry.

We went to Nana's house after the hunt to dye our eggs. This year he was the only grand kid that could make it to her house to color the eggs, but we still had fun. He had a blast, but was a little nervous the first time that he realized that he had colored his hands. I told him it was okay and then he really got into it.

Well, he couldn't dye eggs all by himself so mom and Nana of course got to help.

This is how his hands turned out in the end. The other side was just the same!

Tadah... We colored 3 dozen eggs and Rustin loved every minute. Nana told him to set the egg on the newspaper and roll it, roll it so that it would get the extra color off. He had a blast with this, and yes we had to roll every egg after that.

Rustin has a thing with wearing a towel around his waist. So.. Easter morning he woke up-- way to early-- and decided that he wanted to sleep in his towel. We put it on and then he went back to sleep. It was about 10 am before he finally woke up to come and see what the Easter bunny had brought him. He found the fake eggs and realized that they had candy in them and that was all he wanted for a while. We had to tell him to find the rest of the things that the Easter bunny had brought him.

Rustin... Finding the eggs that the bunny had left him.

The Easter Bunny new he needed a new church suit... Doesn't he look so handsome!

A few of Mal's Engagement Pictures...

We went to altamont to take these pictures. It was a beautiful day and we had fun. They are so cute together... We are glad that carson will be in our family.

Our fun day...

Taking Mal's Bridals!

I think she is so gorgeous...

This was a fun shot!

The water was freezing, but the picture is sure cute!

We spent about 3 hours and I took about 350 pictures.... Needless to say we weeded it down to about 150 pictures. We had a lot of fun. Mal said she had a hard time smiling so much, but I think she did good. Even her serious face is gorgeous! We picked a good day for the most part. It was nice and warm and the wind only blew a little. Which I think was okay because in some of the pictures the wind is blowing her hair. It was a little hard to take any with the veil on because the wind made the back poof up and then it looked funny. But all in all I think we had a good day. Next we are on to her engagement pictures!

This is like a huge deal and we are so proud of him! Hopefully we wont have any fall backs when the baby comes... thats what I am praying for! It took us about a week after he was going potty good, and now he has been going #2 for about 4 days, HOORAY!

Good News...

We are using the big boy potty NOW!!

Rustin just learning how to potty. It worked for us to put his potty in the living room.

Rustin's first attempt to put his underware on all by himself! At least he got them up...

He has finally mastered (pretty good) how to sit on the potty and go pee. He now comes to me and tells me when he needs go potty intead of me always asking him.

Rustin tries to pull up his underware by himself and sometimes just cant figure out how to get them over his bum. He is getting better every time he tries.

Now let me just tell you this has not been all peaches and cream. The first day we never had any successes and about 5 accidents. The second day was a little better with only 1 accident in the morning, but he would not go until about 3 pm. We went and had lunch with Nana, Mal, Grandma Vickie and Aunt Sid. I told him that if he didn't pee in his underware that we would go to the store and buy him a toy for staying dry. We got home and he still didnt want to go on the potty and it had been about 3 hours. I knew that he had to go so I made him sit on the potty and had to tell him that if he didnt let his pee out that I had to take his toy back to the store. It worked! He finally went pee and got to go flush it and thought that was so great that he did it 5 more times in a row... so i know he has bladder control! He sleeps through the night with no accidents- Which I love! Then on the 3rd day he didnt want to sit on the potty. I was really discouraged because he had been going so good the afternoon before. Needless to day I didnt give up and on the 4th day he finally came and got me and told me that he needed to go. Hooray! Today he is doing so good, and we haven't had anymore accidents. But I still have one problem. We have mastered going pee on the potty but he still wont go poop on the potty. He knows he has to go and holds his bum and runs around until he can hold it in for a while longer. Then he goes about playing and then the urge comes back and then he does this all over again. He doesnt want to poop in his underware- but after a while he gives up and hides in the corner and goes poop. I hope this will happen soon- I really dont know what to try.
